Members Club Information
The Club brings together Golfers of all experience, Ladies, Men, beginners, juniors, seniors and every golfing enthusiasts interested in golf for social, competition and at all levels of participation.
What is your handicap? It doesn’t matter. Come and join in our friendly Saturday competitions and you will have a committee member or experienced player with you all the way, introducing you to new friends and meet other golfers. Have fun and learn new skills and the rules from the experienced players.
Club Objectives
- To bring together people interested in the game of golf
- To promote social activities and competitions
- To promote golf at all levels, from those new to the game to experienced players
- To promote the rules of golf and course etiquette
- To encourage friendship and courtesy on the course
On joining, members receive a membership card, issued by GolfLink Australia, which is recognised by numerous golf courses throughout Australia who provide various open competitions for visitors. You will also receive a new club golfing gift and the latest golf rules booklet.
Competitions
For the serious or competitive Golfers among you, Fairfield Golf Course also runs an open competitions on Wednesdays and most Saturdays. The Saturday events which involve the Monthly Medal or the Championships are closed and only open to members.
Wednesday
Our Wednesday Competition is run by the course management and is open to anyone who holds a current Australian Golf Union Handicap (AGU). There is a small entry fee of $15.00 for our members and visitors. The competition is open all day, with the last Tee off time at 3:00pm, with a maximum of four players per group.

Saturday
Our Saturday competition is run by our Members. There are early Morning, mid morning and 1:00pm tee off times, and a different tournament each week. For members entry is $18.00 and $28.00 for visiting members from other clubs. The competitions are open except for the first Saturday of each Month, which is the Monthly Medal Day and during the Championships in May.
Change of Grades
As of the April, monthly committee meeting changes in the handicap grades will occur, this is due to changing numbers in the grades of members playing in our Saturday competitions. The new grades are as follows:
- A GRADE = 0-12
- B GRADE = 13-17
- C GRADE = 18-36
These changes have allowed prize money and the ball comp to be altered, new prize money will be $40 for 1st, $25 for 2nd, $15 for 3rd, 2 Balls for 4th and 1 Ball for 5th.
Our Members
Godfrey Fuchs
Godfrey scooped the lot on the ninth hole during our Saturday competition on the16th May 2015 when he had a HOLE IN ONE.
He won the $ 1,000 donated by Srixon, the Eagles Nest and the closest to the pin on the day!
Fish and Barry
The 3rd green at fairfield golf club is now home to the piece of hallowed turf, where South Sydney star Greg Inglis scored the final try in the Rabbitoh’s 30-6 win over Canterbury at ANZ stadium last October 2015.
Fish & Barry represented Fairfield Golf Course in the Daily Telegraph.
